Eva Longoria is among the faithful.

The Desperate Housewives alum brought her big sister, Liza, to see Pope Francis speak at the White House on Wednesday. The women appeared to have primo seating at the event, which was held on the South Lawn and attended by about 15,000 people.

"A yr ago I asked my sister Liza, 'Who do you most want to meet in the world?' She said 'the Pope.' And here we are!" the 40-year-old actress, producer, and activist wrote on Instagram. The accompanying photo showed the sisters waving flags from their seats while Liza clutched rosary beads.

Among the topics covered in the pope's speech was immigration and how the "pilgrims" will "enrich America," no doubt something the Mexican American actress was pleased to hear.

Later, the sisters had face time with Donald Cardinal Wuerl Archbishop of Washington. "Liza getting a special blessing," Longoria captioned thephoto, giving it hashtags including "Catholic" and "family."

Longoria has said that Liza, who is mentally challenged, has "influenced every fiber of who I am today," including her charity work. The star, who runs the Eva Longoria Foundation, told Parade magazine last year, "Because of my sister Liza having a disability, anytime there was a program [for her] in our community, we utilized it. But at the same time, we had to give back so we’d all volunteer. I knew the word volunteer at a very, very young age."

This wasn't the first trip to the White House for the politically active actress, who is among a handful of people advising President Barack Obama on his next steps. And she had a full agenda for her time in the nation's capital, including taking part in a free concert Wednesday night at the Kennedy Center in the pope's honor, where Longoria read a speech that Eunice Kennedy Shriver gave at the 1987 Special Olympics.
